Event Information
|
The AIDS Vaccine 200 is a fun and rewarding two day, 200 mile ride to raise money for the Emory Vaccine Center. Your dedication and support raises important funds for AIDS vaccine research. The registration fee will cover a large portion of the expenses required to produce this event. The event is being produced by volunteers and the organizing committee is dedicated to securing sponsors to underwrite as many of the event expenses as possible. This will allow us to give 100% of funds collected to the Emory Vaccine Center. Included for you are an event t-shirt, rider support, pit stops with drinks and snacks and meals during the ride as well as accommodations Saturday night at Camp Eagle Rock in Eatonton, GA.

There are several options for riding on the AV200. All riders have the option of riding a 160 mile route or riding the full 200 mile route. In addition, any rider can create a team or join a team. Team participation is a fun way to promote the ride and fundraise. You can join a team or form a team at any time.
The registration fee for all riders is $85.
|
| Individual Rider |
Individual riders agree to ride the 160 mile or 200 mile route. In addition, you can form a team or join an existing team. There is a $500 fundraising minimum for individual riders.
|
| |
| Relay Rider |
Relay riders are groups of two to five people who decide to split up the mileage. You can split up the ride any way you like. For instance, you and a friend can agree to split up the ride 50/50 each day. You could ride the first 50 miles and he or she could ride the second 50 miles. In addition, relay riders can be members of teams independent of the relay group. There is a $350 fundraising minimum for each relay rider. Note: relay riders must provide their own transportation.

There are two options for volunteering for the AV200. The only difference between the two types of volunteers depends on whether or not you wish to have overnight lodging at Rock Eagle with the riders. You will be presented with the chance to choose between the two types at the bottom of the registration page. With both types of volunteers fundraising is encouraged, but not required.
